But we've managed to improve it, equipping it with a low-noise FETs and NOS tubes hybrid circuit, along with exclusive features that make it sound even better

Insight is the line preamplifier that has stayed the longest in the Audiozen catalog: since 2018, it has only received minor updates to its power supply section, but the design has never been revised or replaced. There’s a reason for that: since its debut, Insight has been enthusiastically welcomed by both enthusiasts and the specialized press, especially for its sonic qualities and its astonishing price/performance ratio. The constant feedback over the years has made Insight a real flagship for Audiozen.
There was almost a fear in removing a preamplifier with such a proven track record, but at the same time, the desire for designing something new was growing unstoppable.
Determined to create something different, but fearful of being unfair to a highly successful creation, we decided to keep the name but change everything else, at least inside.
No longer a fully tube circuit, but a different design: FETs in the preamplification stage and tubes on the output.
A hybrid circuit that combines the best of both worlds: in each channel, a pair of selected FETs preamplifies the audio signal and hands it over to the NOS tube, which lowers its impedance.
Insight consists of two chassis: the preamplifier and the separate power supply unit. This choice, though more expensive, ensures excellent performance, both sonically and in terms of reliability.
The main unit houses two circuits: NOS tubes PCB, shielded and featuring metallized through-holes, visible through the transparent perspex cover of the Insight; preamp stage is placed underneath, it is equipped with a pair of selected and matched low-noise FETs per channel.
Tubes improve sound by lowering the impedance of the audio signal, an essential step that ensures a better electrical passing-through between Insight and the power amplifier to which will be connected. The tube section includes also two constant current generators for ideal operational stability.
For the best audio signal decoupling, Audiozen chose the CSA series by ClarityCap, objectively excellent polypropylene capacitors. The CSA Series incorporates unique CopperConnect technology that reduces signal path resistance and capacitor ESR to achieve new levels of audio performance.
The separate power supply unit is equipped with a pair of toroidal transformers, rectification is performed by a pair of metal-bodied bridge rectifiers, normally used for power amps. Innovative high efficiency, low drop-out integrated circuits are used together with large sized capacitors to ensure a better voltage regulation.
Oversized (30 Amps.) golden-plated pins power supply connector ensures a secure electrical connection with the preamplifier unit.

Insight rear panel is equipped with four line inputs, one pair line output, one pair monitor out: all inputs/outputs are unbalanced.
Volume control is managed by an excellent motorized ALPS potentiometer; Insight is supplied with a remote control for volume management.
First class gold-plated RCA connectors, transparent perspex cover, solid machined aluminum knobs, 10 mm thick aluminum front panel, 8 mm thick solid wood sides (on request): all of that complete an Audiozen creation conceived without compromise.
Exceeding in listening the milestones achieved over the years was not easy, at least according to our idea of sound, but the Insight 2024 version proved that something was still perfectible: greater dynamics, solidity, transparency.
Listening experience is enriched with an extreme feeling of naturalness, musical event is sharpened with space between the instruments and the sound stage is perfectly focused, with a warm and transparent timbre.
Insight delivers a level of resolution, refinement and control that improves dramatically in every sense listening enjoyment.
